Summary

In Chapter 3, Winter hates the Rainforest because of the many trees, heat, wet conditions, and the brilliant colors and sounds that overwhelm him. Moon says Winter probably hates this situation. Winter reaches for the pouch where he carries the stone. Moon says she has not read his mind, but she can imagine that this is very different from his home. Winter tries to imagine a purpose for this conversation, wondering if Moon is trying to trick him into giving her information. There is a conversation about food.
