Chapter 28 Summary

On Valentine's Day, Darcy initiates another double date with Geoffrey, Ethan, and Sondrine. Her hopes that the night will go better than New Year's fall as the group doesn't seem to get along any better. Sondrine and Geoffrey are both visibly annoyed at the announcement of the nursery set-up in Ethan's apartment. When Geoffrey announces that he and Darcy are moving in together, Sondrine is elated with the news though Darcy still seems unsure.

Before dessert, Darcy excuses herself to the bathroom. Although Darcy is initially dismayed when Sondrine decides to accompany her, when Darcy is standing over the toilet and sees blood, it is Sondrine who comes to her aide and gets Geoffrey into the women's bathroom.

At the hospital, Darcy's new doctor, Dr. Smith, gives her a pelvic exam before the nurse straps monitors on Darcy's stomach to measure contractions and...
