Chapter 8 Summary

Darcy wakes in Marcus' bed for the first time. She awakens Marcus to ask him if he thinks Dex and Rachel are together, and to discuss what she should say to her co-workers that day. Marcus tells her what happened is nobody's business. Darcy explains it is her duty to inform them of a few details, given that some are guests.

Darcy decides to follow Marcus' advice and send a mass e-mail informing her friends and co-workers of her canceled wedding. Before Darcy can send her e-mail, she is called down to the conference room by her supervisor, Cal, to discuss a golf tournament. Darcy decides she is going to make Cal give the project to someone else, even if she has to cry.
