Chpater 24 Summary

Darcy and Ethan are both heading out for a night on the town. Darcy is going to Meg's house for the dinner party, and Ethan is going out to dinner with Sondrine. Ethan insists Darcy take a cab and offers her money. In the cab, Darcy is overcome with an anxiety she can't remember feeling. Darcy realizes it is the first time in seven years she is going out socially without the safety net of being in a relationship. Darcy's anxiety increases when she sees the assortment of individuals assembled in Meg's living room. Darcy listens to the geopolitical conversation waiting for someone to bring up the Royal Family she knew of in magazines. Instead, the conversation passes over Darcy's head as the group discusses England's monarchy and Tony Blair.
