Chapter 21 Summary

Darcy wakes the following morning to her first baby kick. She thinks over her argument with Ethan the night before and decides to make a change. Darcy makes a list of seven things she must do to improve herself including finding a doctor, girlfriends she won't compete with and a job. After making her list, Darcy begins her quest to become a better person by cleaning Ethan's apartment and writing a letter to her mother.

Sitting in a coffee shop after mailing her mother's letter, Darcy listens in on the conversation between a young mother and her friend. Darcy finds an opening and smiles at the young mother who then invites Darcy into their conversation. The women introduce themselves as Meg and Charlotte.

Darcy and the women enjoy a long conversation during which Darcy gives them a brief background of her situation. Instead...
