Chapter 15 Summary

Feeling bereft of anyone to turn to, Darcy calls Dex at work and begs him to see her. When Dex arrives at Darcy's apartment, Darcy has to coerce him inside. Dex immediately asks for his box but Darcy tries get him to discuss his relationship with Rachel. When Dex finally admits their relationship is going great, Darcy leaves to get his things. In her bedroom, Darcy dumps a pair of shoes out of their box and commences to throw together in an assortment of miscellaneous items including, at the last minute for its weight, their engagement photo in a heavy silver frame.

Dex comments on the light weight of the box, disgusted Darcy has lied to get him to her apartment. Darcy breaks down in tears. She begs Dex to stay with her. She tells him she and Marcus have broken up. Dex...
