Chapter 18 Summary

Two weeks of preparation later, Darcy has sublet her apartment and sold her wedding dress and engagement ring. With enough money to last through her pregnancy, Darcy is off on a business class red-eye to London.

Darcy is in a London cab anxiously awaiting her arrival at Ethan's apartment and graciously conversing with her driver. When Darcy arrives at Ethan's address, he is shocked by her quantity of luggage. Darcy is also in for disappointment. Ethan's apartment is clean and neat but small. Darcy's bedroom is so small, she can't think of where to blow up her air mattress once her suitcases are assembled in the room. Darcy attempts to mask her disappointment but is unsuccessful. Ethan offers for her to stay at a hotel.
