Chapter 11 Summary

Meg is trying to help John get a driver's car out of the mud that it is stuck in. Meg catches him checking her out. John tells Meg she's too distracting and tells her to switch places with the driver. Since John is covered in mud, they go by his apartment so he can change. When Meg walks into his living room, she sees it is covered in drawings and realizes they are John's drawings. Meg asks John if she can touch one of the guns he placed on the kitchen table as he starts to clean off the mud. John offers to show her how to use it. John leads Meg into the bedroom and gives her a dry shirt and jacket of his. He takes out a new uniform and goes into the bathroom to change.
