Chapter 7 Summary

John and Meg spend the night busting drug deals that are taking place around town. As the other cops are rounding up the sellers, John and Meg are in pursuit of the buyer. As they chase him, Meg notices that John is wearing cologne. The buyer gets away across the train tracks before the train blocks John's car off. Meg tells John he smells good and asks how he wound up with her for the ride along. John admits that he chose her. When she jokes about him getting her alone on a date, he says it's not that at all.
