Dry Cleaning

Reacher is kidnapped because he attempts to help Holly with her dry cleaning when she nearly falls coming out of the dry cleaners.

Crutch

Holly is allowed to keep her crutch after the kidnapping. Holly will later use this crutch as a tool to help her escape from the room where she is being held captive.

Dynamite

Borken uses old dynamite from the abandoned mine to stuff in the walls of Holly's room and keep her father from attacking the camp. Later, this same dynamite is placed in a truck to be transported to San Francisco where it will be used as a car bomb during Fourth of July celebrations.

Old Barn

The first night on the road, Reacher and Holly spend the night in an old barn.
