Chapters 1-7 Summary

Reacher is a retired military man who has been moving from place to place, getting to know America for the first time due to the fact that he was raised on military bases because of his father's service to his country. Holly Johnson is also an Army brat who was a Wall Street analyst, but now works as an agent for the FBI in their Chicago field office.
