Summary

Simon wakes the next morning to find a thermos of blood waiting at his window. As he is drinking it, Simon is visited by Raphael, the leader of the vampires. Raphael wants to know how Simon can stand in the daylight. Raphael also wants to know why Simon has not accepted what he is now. Raphael thinks that Simon should accept his situation and come to be with the other vampires.

Clary returns home to Amatis’s to find Jace waiting for her. Clary confronts Jace about Simon, whose situation she just learned from Sebastian. Jace explains the situation to Clary. Clary then tells Jace what she learned on her trip to see Ragnor Fell. Jace agrees to go with Clary to get the Book of the White.
