Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices) Overview

The Midnight Lady tells the story of Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn, Shadowhunters who are magically bound to each other. They both struggle with the devastation of the past and with their increasingly romantic feelings for each other. They investigate a series of murders and find that a warlock is trying to resurrect his lover through the use of black magic. They kill the warlock and believe they have stopped the resurrection, though that is not true. The main themes are the power of love and the struggle between good and evil.
