Object Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.
Objects
Allahabad - This is a city in north-central India at the junction of the Jumna and Ganges rivers.
Balmoral Castle - This is a large estate in Aberdeenshire, Scotland that is purchased by Prince Albert.
British East India Company - This is referred to repeatedly as John Company or the Company for centuries that enjoys a monopoly on trade in India.
Cawnpore - This is a straggling city of northern India on the Ganges River.
Gwalior - This is a massive Indian fort in which Harry Flashman is imprisoned by Rani Lakshmibai.
