Chapter 7 Summary

Easterbook, Dillon and McCoy are driving from San Diego to Los Angeles. Easterbrook is sick along the way and McCoy thinks he has malaria. Since his service records have been lost, they don't thing they can have him admitted to a military hospital. Dillon calls Dr. Harald Barthelmy and makes arrangements to meet at Jake's Malibu house. After the call, Dr. Barthelmy talks to his receptionist, Dawn Morris and asks her to act as a nurse at Jake's house. He gives her four prescriptions which he writes and sends her to the druggist. When they arrive at the beach house, Dillon tells Dawn that he will call a few producers for her if she takes good care of Easterbook while they are in Washington.
