Chapter 4 Summary

Pick's plane was totaled in the landing. He hit some debris and had a blowout. Oblensky says he things he can fix Galloway's plane but not Pick's. Galloway thanks Pick for getting the Japanese Zero off his tail.

The men were discussing the attacks afterward. There had been a delay in the information from the Coastwatchers so they didn't have any advance warning. Banning says that he has to Espiritu Santo and they discuss the condition of the planes and field. Galloway doesn't think it will be possible for them to leave before morning.
