Darl - Chapter 42 Summary

Cash is ill and still not fully conscious while he rides in the wagon. He vomits regularly, but he is not worried about his health; he only worries about his tools. The Bundrens have borrowed Armstid's mules and are driving the wagon to his house.

Once they arrive at Armstid's house, they put the wagon in the barn and take Cash into the house. Then the rest of the Bundrens stay with the wagon and Addie's body, again refusing the hospitality of their hosts.
