Vardaman - Chapter 13 Summary

Vardaman runs from the house, blaming Peabody for killing his mother and, finding Peabody's horses, he lashes out at Peabody by striking his horses with a stick, scaring them and sending them running. Not content with smacking them once, Vardaman chases the horses as long as he can, giving vent to his frustration and rage. After his emotions spend themselves, Vardaman cools down and goes into the barn to hide and think about the fish he caught.
