Epilogue Summary

Shadow journeys to Iceland to meet Odin, the original incarnation of Wednesday. Shadow tells him about the vigil. Odin tells Shadow that Wednesday was him, but he is not Wednesday. Shadow decides he has had enough of gods, and wants to travel somewhere new. He gives Wednesday's glass eye to Odin. Shadow takes a gold coin out and does a trick for Odin. Then Shadow flips the coin in the air, and walks away without waiting to see it land.

Epilogue Analysis

Shadow goes to visit Odin to find closure. While there, he realizes Odin is not his father, and that Wednesday is truly gone. Shadow is tired of dealing with the gods and wants a new start.
