Chapter 18 Summary

At the bottom of Lookout Mountain, the old gods are debating whether to start the battle or not. Shadow is in a state of nothingness when Whiskey Jack comes to him. Whiskey Jack says someone is coming to revive him. Shadow sees they are in Whiskey Jack's shack. They both have a beer. Whiskey tells him that Henry Bluejay died in a car accident, and they talk about the war. Shadow leaves and goes into the darkness, and then he starts to feel pain.

Easter takes Shadow down from the tree and brings him back to life. Back at Lookout Mountain, the battle between the gods starts. Town is enjoying Laura's company as they drive to the battle. When they get there, Laura kills him. Easter leads Shadow to a thunderbird, which will take him back to the battle. Laura takes the stick...
