Chapter 15 Summary

The story returns to Baby Suggs shortly after Sethe arrives at 124. Baby Suggs is very happy to see Sethe, but she still hopes her son Halle is coming. Twenty days after Sethe arrived, Stamp Paid arrives at 124 with two buckets filled with blackberries. Baby Suggs decides to bake a couple of pies and invite some friends over. Then she invites a few more. It turns into an enormous party with 90 people.

The day after the party, the people who came to the party are sick at the thought they had so much fun at Baby Suggs' house. They think that Baby Suggs was showing off and putting on airs when she had had such an easy life by their standards.

Baby Suggs senses the anger in the air. Then she notices something.....
