Summary

In Chapter Thirty-two, Cecilia watches a video of the night the Berlin Wall came down. The video she watches with Esther isn’t what she remembered from her own childhood. Esther asks why the people are crying. Cecilia explains it is because they are so happy. When John-Paul asks if she wants a cup of tea, she is almost rude in her refusal.
