Summary

In Chapter Five, Liam and Tess arrive at her mother’s house after dark. It takes a while for her mother to get to the door. As she waits, Tess wonders if coming to her mother’s house on such short notice was a bad idea. When her mother does get to the door, she asks Tess what has happened. As soon as Tess starts to tell her, her mother guesses that it is Felicity who is having an affair with Will.

A brief snippet tells of the way that Ed proposed to Rachel. After her day with Rob, Lauren, and Jacob, Rachel is in bed eating the macaroons Lauren gave to her. They bring Janie to mind.
