Summary

Chapter 39

Ty and Cady get into the lab and Cady realizes how clean and high-tech it is. Ty thinks the air is weird, but Cady assures him it’s just negative airflow. Her mother had told her that there were eggs in the lab that were incubating the disease and that they would need to take a few of those, as well as destroy the rest. They find the eggs, but there is a problem. Cady realizes that the eggs have to be set at a certain temperature to be safe, otherwise, they could also contract the virus.

They search for ways to start a fire and heat up the eggs. Ty works on starting a makeshift bunsen burner stovetop, while Cady searches for the vaccine. She starts to worry that the workers discovered it, because it is not where her mom said...
