Summary

Chapter 35

Lulled into a false sense of Cady's inability to protect herself, Brenner turns his back on her. Cady takes advantage of this, screams and throws herself at Brenner and Liz. Yanking her hands free, she attacks Brenner first and breaks his arm. Liz threatens to shoot Ty if Cady doesn’t let Brenner go. Cady does, and Brenner whines that he’s only a computer scientist and didn't sign up for all of this nonsense. He storms out of the room.

In the process, Cady realizes that Liz isn’t her aunt, as her mother only has a brother. Liz explains that she is the vice president of marketing. She explains that Cady’s parents wouldn’t give up their information for her life, and that hurts Cady. Cady realizes that Ty is shifting his stance, readying himself to try something, so...
