Summary

Chapter 25

Ty says that they need a car. Cady is still reeling from their discovery in the library and can’t think clearly. Cady doesn’t want Ty to leave her alone. He doesn’t want her to get rid of him either, so he asks what she wants to do. She thinks it’s a good idea to go to Portland to try to find her family and her house. He suggests hitchhiking and she refuses. They decide the Greyhound bus might be their best option, and on their way to the bus she sees an old volcano in the distance. Ty explains that it’s not dead, just sleeping, and Cady feels a connection to the dormant killer.
