Summary

Chapter 7

The girl runs into the security office and hastily explains what is going on to Officer Dillow. He originally thinks she is one of the guests at the Lodge, but after hearing her story he becomes worried. Once Officer Dillow becomes concerned that she might be on drugs or be intoxicated. She tells him that she pushed a man down and knocked another one out. Officer Dillow doesn't seem inclined to believe her.

Seeing that the Officer is not listening to her and taking what she's saying seriously, she hands the wallet she has taken from her assailant to Officer Dillow and they flip through it. The man's name on the license is Michael Brenner. The Officer says he will take her to the police station where they will know what to do with her. He has her lie down in the...
