Chapter 26, Speak for Me Summary

Time has passed. Rackham and Graff have died. Peter is more than 70-years-old when he contacts his sister, Valentine. The world is at peace and his responsibilities are minimal. He has gradually delegated his responsibilities until now his office is nothing more than a figurehead position. He and Petra are married, have children and grandchildren. He tells Valentine that he read Ender's book the Hive Queen and that he would like Ender to write his biography so that the true story will be told. He liked the way the Hive Queen was written...short and simple, "But it painted a picture of the Hive Queens that was as they might have written it themselves" (P. 357).
