Chapter 2, Mother Summary

Bean learns they haven't found a cure for his condition, which is slowly killing him and that there has been no luck locating the stolen embryos. In another part of the world, an embryo belonging to Achilles Flanders, Bean's dead, arch enemy, is implanted in a woman named Randi. This is part of a plan put into action by Achilles before his untimely death. She thinks Ender Wiggin used Achilles' battle plans to defeat the Buggers and then took all the glory because he's the little brother of Peter Wiggin, the man who is trying to take over the world.
