Chapter Three, Part 17-20 Summary

It is the middle of the night and Sara tries to ignore the strong urge to use the bathroom. She eventually gives in and stumbles to the bathroom, still reminding herself to think 'thin' or her coined phrase, "zophtic." She smiles to herself when she flushes, imagining all of the extra pounds she wants get rid of flushing away.

Harry gets back to Marion's apartment still high from the dexie and cannot sleep. Marion gives him some sleeping pills and they hang out smoking marijuana until the pills kick in. Harry and Tyrone fall into this routine every night that now includes work. They take uppers to get motivated enough to work. They head home, take sleeping pills and sleep through the entire day.

Sara's hair color has finally gotten to the shade of red she wants...
