Chapter Three, Part 4-6 Summary

It is early in the morning and Sara enjoys a bagel with cream cheese. She has to convince herself not to rush the meal but before she realizes it she has finished the bagel and starts on her cheese danish. She decides that she will walk to the library and pick up the books on dieting. On the way there Sara doesn't realize her detour until she is standing in the bakery paying for another cheese danish. At the library, she talks with the librarian who is politely amused by Sara's desire to lose weight after catching a glimpse of the bakery bag Sara is still holding. Back at home, Sara's friend Ada prepares to dye Sara's hair.
