Chapter Three, Part 13-15 Summary

Marion and Harry wake up on the couch, sometime late in the evening. Marion makes two cups of coffee and offers Harry a drug called dextroamphetamine or "dexie" for short, reminding him that he will have to be awake for work later that night. Tyrone calls a few hours later and Harry is wide awake and talking non-stop from the dexie. Tyrone arrives and almost starts to resent their giggling and joking until Marion gives him a dexie to help lighten him up.

Sara has made it to the end of day one of her diet. She fills up on water, pledging to double the suggested amount even if she forfeits her night's sleep to do it. Sara hears the refrigerator remind her that there is matzoh to eat in the cupboard and she convinces herself and...
