Chapter 42 Summary
John goes back to the Bayview Hotel, where he showers, changes clothes and then checks out. He drives towards Old Brookville to find Jill Winslow. He arrives at Old Brookville around 12:15 p.m., drives directly to the Old Brookville Police Department and goes inside.
Chapter 42 Analysis
Despite Nash's threats, John is committed to continuing his investigation, and that leads him straight to Jill Winslow.
