Chapter 8 Summary

John goes back to the Jeep where Kate is waiting for him, and they drive out to an old airport hangar where the plane was reconstructed. They go into the hangar and look at the plane. They are talking about the possibility of a missile being the cause of the explosion when they hear a voice say, "There was no missile." They turn to see a man walking towards them.

Chapter 8 Analysis

The author's extremely detailed description of the reconstructed plane further reveals the horrific nature of the explosion and illuminates the sudden death of all those aboard the plane.
