Chapter 16 Summary

At Ferdinand Six, Koffler and the others are hoping that there will be other messages, but there are none. The message of the previous day has him thinking of Daphne. He did not think he would ever see her again. Patience comes in and tells him to come outside. She introduces him to Wallace.

At Henderson, Galloway, Pick and Dillon take off in a R4D. They are headed to Port Moresby, New Guinea, where they are to pick up five people. Pick tells them that this is the first time he has been scared. He does not want to fly because of what happened to Dick Stecker. Galloway says he has no choice.

Eric Feldt is waiting when they land at Port Moresby. He greets them. Feldt briefs the group based on their communications with Ferdinand Six. They figure the departure group...
