Chapter 13 Summary

The MAGIC program involves the intercepting of Japanese encoded messages and making the information available to a select number of people available with the proper clearance. First Lieutenant Hon Son Do and Mrs. Ellen Feller are MAGIC analysts. Ellen Feller is basically a weak analyst and passes on much of Hons work as her own. Banning is aware of this and does not like her. Banning does not like Pickering's lax security procedures. Moore is involved in the MAGIC program and sent to Guadalcanal, which is a big security breach.

The MAGIC radio room is on the roof of the Commerce Hotel in Brisbane. Any MAGIC message is to the cryptographic room in the basement known as the Dungeon.
