April and May Summary and Analysis

By April 3rd, thinks are nearly back to normal. Nurse Maggleby explains things to everyone. Nancy is glad that everyone knows. The next week passes by with only minor events. On the 10th, Nancy is ridiculed for her AIDS the first time. Immediately the principal calls Nancy's mother to pick her up and she does not want to go back. That night the boys who make fun of her are suspended indefinitely. Their parents give them a curfew and Nancy agrees to go back to school. On Friday everyone is really nice to hear and she wonders if they would be so nice if they knew what happened.
