January Summary and Analysis

Nancy loses her diary and does not write for three months. So many fun things happen during this period. She notes that her father most be really sad missing these times with her. After Christmas, Nancy goes to her father's for awhile. She connects with him and feels awful for being separated from him. Most of the time however Nancy is bored. She does start to feel better though. Nancy then recounts some activities she shares with her father.

On the 22nd, Nancy is back home. She is glad to be home, although she misses her father. Dorie has been messing around with Fred Simmons and thinks that she is pregnant. She is wondering whether to have an abortion and whether to marry Fred. Lew encourages the gaggle to be supportive.

Later in the day, Officer Williams comes over with boxes...
