August Summary and Analysis

The first day of August finds Nancy with an inflammation in her chest that is causing her to spit up phlegm. On the 5th she is still sick and trying to do everything she can to get well. On the 7th she is missing everything. On the 11th, Nancy is feeling a lot better and is glad that her immune system is happy. She is happy and is impressed that Lew is an A student and Student Body President. Knowing Lew has changed her life.

By the 16th, it has been three weeks since she first got sick. Nancy is very excited to see Lew and it is everything Nancy hopes that it can be. They are both a bit embarrassed. Lew invites her over for barbecue with his family. That Saturday they have a wonderful day with Lew's family. On...
