Summary

Chapters 15 and 16

Khalid finally manages to doze off, still tormented by constant light and the shame of his confession. Then the guards come to get him again. A sandwich with peanut butter is shoved at him and he is told he has half a minute to eat it, but Khalid struggles to swallow even a bit at a time as it sticks to his mouth. Then he is put into an orange suit and chained up. In the time it takes to do this, Khalid falls asleep on his feet. He wakes when the chains are attached to his feet and a hood is placed over his head. Part of him wonders if he is going home despite the whispers of Guantanamo he hears.
