Chapter 17 Summary

Flagg has been in Delain for more than seventy years, yet he looks only about ten years older, causing people to begin to whisper about his lack of aging. Flagg knows he must leave Delain soon, but it has taken a long time to find a monarch susceptible to his influence, so that he can bring ruin to the small kingdom of Delain. This is not the first time Flagg has come to Delain. The time before he had been known as Bill Hinch, the King's Lord High Executioner.
