Chapters 114 - 118 Summary

Flagg reaches one side of the tower at the same time Ben, Naomi, Frisky, and Dennis reach the other. Peter hears Flagg and knows he must hurry, but he is frightened as he makes his preparations. Flagg kills the Lesser Warder for being too slow when the Lesser Warder opens the door and begins the walk up the long staircase, yelling to Peter. Peter has trouble making a knot in his fright. A quarter of the way up the staircase, Flagg threats at Peter.

Chapters 114 - 118 Analysis

Danger is foreshadowed as Flagg reaches the Needle at the same time as Peter's friends. Peter is now aware of the danger. Flagg is on his way, building suspense and the terrible death that awaits Peter, one way or the other. More suspense is built as Peter struggles to get out the window quickly...
