These symbolize Diana's power as a weaver, which is different from most witches because she can+ create spells rather than just using those handed down through families and covens. Diana can see the mechanics behind spells as a means of understanding how they work.

Darkness

Diana and Sarah have a conversation about darkness and Sarah makes the point that darkness as a symbol of evil is a human explanation for what they do not understand.
