Summary

In Chapter 34, Diana, Sarah, and Fernando arrive at the Old Lodge where the vampire Andrew Hubbard and the witch Linda Crosby are waiting to help. Gallowglass joins them. Andrew provides a route inside with the help of a vampire who is part of the remodeling crew. Diana calls Matthew who says he is just leaving Germany. Diana first fills out a requisition slip as she had the first time she requested the Ashmole manuscript, hoping the library and the spell that binds the book will respond despite the fact there is no staff members present. They wait two hours but nothing happens. Linda, Diana, and Sarah join forces to cast a spell that also does not work.
