In Chapter 6, Abby enjoys her dates with Parker on Monday and Wednesday, but it is hard to pay attention to him when he sits in Travis's seat on Thursday. When Parker questions why he was not invited to Abby's birthday party, America explains it was supposed to be a surprise party which Travis planned. Everyone watches as Parker holds Abby's hand, obviously thinking she is dating both Parker and Travis. Realizing the impossibility of dating Parker while living with Travis, Abby asks to be released from the bet, but Travis refuses, saying she should just stop dating Parker since she only has three weeks of the bet left, causing Abby to storm off.
