Summary

Elias is able to grab onto Laia before she is swept away into the desert, although he cannot see her. As the group finally breaks into a Tribal wagon for shelter, Elias sees that the rope was broken apart smoothly, as if it was cut. He wonders if the poison is causing him to hallucinate. He leaves the others in the wagon to search for an apothecary, and sees ‘wanted posters’ calling for his capture on the streets. He finds an apothecary shop and steals its entire stock of Tellis. Back in the streets, he spies on the Marital stronghold and sees Helene with her comrades. Meanwhile, in the wagon, Laia tends for Izzi, who is suffering from sand blindness after he desert storm. Izzi reveals she knows that Elias is poisoned with nightweed because she heard the Cook speaking...
