Summary

Chapter 13

Katie debates whether she should risk standing so she can grab the gun. She knows that if she does that she may give away her position. She slowly lifts the lid and sees another teen who most likely works in the neighboring mall. He has his earbuds in listening to music and seems to walking in her direction. Katie sinks back down and worries that he is going to find her, but he walks past.

A car drives up, and Katie hopes it’s Ty, but she is still too frightened to risk taking another peek out of the can. Shortly, Katie hears Ty's voice talking softly to her. She gets out of the trash can and Ty urges her to hurry since the men are watching the movie theater across the road next to the mall. They manage to get her...
