Chapter 29 - 30 Summary
Lucas makes a silencer for one of his guns and hides it as Carla arrives. She tells him she had a visit from Jennifer Carey the previous evening. They have decided that Jennifer can have Lucas. Carla is breaking off their relationship and says Jennifer will arrive in several hours. When she does, she tells him that Annie McGowan has a new job with the network.
Vullion's urge is mounting again, but it has to wait. He has to implement his plan against Lucas. He needs to be free of the surveillance for two hours and he accomplishes this by paying a visit to a colleague at another law firm. After the visit, he leaves the building by another exit and takes a cab to a used car lot where he pays cash for a car. He then buys the various supplies that he needs and locks them in...
