The storm is a record one, but no snow is on the plaza because the wind has blown it all off the cobblestones. Everyone in the kingdom goes to bed early this night because the excitement of the storm has left them exhausted. Thomas has trouble sleeping, and Dennis is not there to keep him company because he is said to be ill. Thomas sleepwalks again and goes to the secret room.
