Peter is thinking about his intended escape that night when he finds the note from Dennis. Dennis tells Peter that he knows he has a plan of escape and if he can help, he wants to. Dennis asks for a response to be thrown through the window. Peter is excited to have someone's support. Peter wants to respond to the note but has no paper or ink. Peter decides to use Valera's note and to use his own blood as ink

Chapter 99 - 101 Analysis

As foreshadowed in previous chapters, Peter has found the note Dennis wrote him. Dennis and Peyna have pledged to help Peter, finally proving once and for all that they no longer believe Peter to be guilty. This is important to the next few chapters as Peter makes his decision about escaping. Peter has support now and intends to stop Flagg. Peter writes a note for Dennis.
